The Sun Sets, Giving Chance for an Upcoming Day

I have a wonderful handsome son whom my whole world revolves around. He is my strength. I work at a bank. I am a HUGE Baseball fan!!! There is just something about the sport...and of course the player(s) ;) I am just learning how to be me and live this new life I am creating for me and my son. :)

  • I want a real relationship

    swingwide-yourcrane:

I don’t want to be hesitant of what’s on my mind. I don’t want to be scared of expressing how I feel. I want that person to know all of me and still love me. I need someone who cares enough to put up with me. If we fight then lets talk it through, we can take our time and fix our problems. It doesn’t have to be all drama.

  • “Sometimes you’re 23 and standing in the kitchen of your house making breakfast and brewing coffee and listening to music that for some reason is really getting to your heart. You’re just standing there thinking about going to work and picking up your dry cleaning. And also more exciting things like books you’re reading and trips you plan on taking and relationships that are springing into existence. Or fading from your memory, which is far less exciting. And suddenly you just don’t feel at home in your skin or in your house and you just want home but “Mom’s” probably wouldn’t feel like home anymore either. There used to be the comfort of a number in your phone and ears that listened everyday and arms that were never for anyone else, but just to calm you down when you started feeling trapped in a five-minute period where nostalgia is too much and thoughts of this person you are feel foreign. When you realize that you’ll never be this young again but this is the first time you’ve ever been this old. When you can’t remember how you got from sixteen to here and all the same feel like sixteen is just as much of a stranger to you now. The song is over. The coffee’s done. You’re going to breathe in and out. You’re going to be fine in about five minutes.”

  • So hanging out with my friends last night…. I love these girls but sometimes it can be to much. I can’t stand when they start talking about their weight and all. One of them is barely 115 and skinny as a stick after two kids yet she thinks she is “wide” my other friend is 130 but works out for two hours daily and is seriously all muscle. This girl is so tone and fit its not even funny, and her son is younger than Zach. And here I am like….I’m 123 pounds of straight fat….like they were in jeans and I regretted my decision to wear shorts. My thighs were like “here I am shaking all around witb every step because we are so fatty”. Made me feel like such crap. BF thinks I’m skinny and all but has hinted lately at me getting on a good gym routine. Clearly he wishes I was more tone. But when do I have the time? If I’m not at work I’m taking care of Zach and the BF, breakfast, dinner, laundry, cleaning. Like come on…and once I get full time I really won’t have time….I can’t stand this. My friend was talking about how she does naked pushups and squats for her hubby to watch and I’m like “omg I would look disgusting witb my fat hanging around and all”. They say I look good but I suck in my stomach the whole time I’m hanging out with them. I need fat friends so I can be the hot one in the group. Right now I’m the fat ugly one….

  • “

What grinds me the most is that we’re sending kids out into the world who don’t know how to balance a checkbook, who don’t know how to apply for a loan, don’t even know how to properly fill out a job application, but because they know the quadratic formula we consider them prepared for the world?

    With that said, I’ll admit even I can see how looking at the equation x – 3 = 19 and knowing x = 22 can be useful. I’ll even say knowing x = 7 and y = 8 in a problem like 9x – 6y = 15 can be helpful. But seriously, do we all need to know how to simplify (x – 3)(x – 3i)??

And the joke is, no one can continue their education unless they do. A student living in California cannot get into a four-year college unless they pass Algebra 2 in high school. A future psychologist can’t become a psychologist, a future lawyer can’t become a lawyer, and I can’t become a journalist unless each of us has a basic understanding of engineering.

Of course, engineers and scientists use this shit all the time, and I applaud them! But they don’t take years of theater arts appreciation courses, because a scientist or an engineer doesn’t need to know that The Phantom of the Opera was the longest-running Broadway musical of all time. Get my point?

The board of education should sit down with universities and high schools alike and create options for students. Let us take business classes that substitute all the same credits as algebra. I guarantee a semester of learning how to start a small business would benefit people much more than knowing: ax^2 + bx + c = 0
